Bright and breezy ....
11th
September 2019 (Wednesday) 06.30 ....
Wellllll .... it’s windy but
not cold and I can see that we’ve had rain
overnight, however it’s dry just now, and the forecast is for any early showers
to fade out and we’re to have a ‘sunny intervals and fresh breeze’ day: a good drying day for the washing that’s
going through the machine as I type.
Bonnie morning. |
10.00 It’s not as windy as I expected it to be on
the beach... and therefore not as cold either:
having said that the wind is expected to freshen in the afternoon, but
showers are not in the ‘KY9’ forecast.
I’m
taking ‘M’ along to the Friendship Lunch so that she can catch up with Lexie...
and all of her other friends. In the
meantime we’re going to sit in The Hutte;
‘M’ is resting her hip so walking is out for a few days.
Lexie and 'M'. |
14.30 My word.... the Friendship Lunch was
busy; I don’t think there was an empty
chair in the Hall. We have the Guild
Coffee Morning this coming Saturday (14th).... so the Lunches/Coffee Morning
season is well under way. ‘M’ enjoyed
her chat with Lexie and Robbie.... when I think about ‘M’s corner of the table
was the noisiest place in the Hall.
Let’s face it... two Dy ... oops ... two Cellardykers = a lot of noise.
There was a happy buzz all round the
Hall, although the lone wasp that was buzzin’ around must have felt very very
unhappy as everyone kept swatting it. On the way home we noticed a heavy cloud
heading towards my washing, but we were back at Ivy before the edge of the
shower arrived. The washing was well dry
in the ‘very brisk’ breeze.
20.30 We (‘M’ and I) had a run to the harbour
this evening... it maybe wisnae the warmest place to go for a short walk, but
it was bonnie; the evening sky was impressive, but it was
cool (as it always is at harbours) in the brisk wind. There was a
‘red sky at night’ so we should
have nice day tomorrow, though I think showers are mentioned for ‘KY9’.
Interesting sky over Chapel Green - Earlsferry. |
I
have an early appointment at the surgery (blood test) then the ‘plan’ is to go
to Harbour House for morning coffee, after which we’ll go out somewhere, and
have lunch wherever we end up. Of
course that is weather dependent.
