Must find the sun bloc ....
20th
March 2018 (Tuesday)
.....the Vernal Equinox .... Spring
begins today at 16.15. Let’s frolic
around like Spring lambs; wellll ...
maybe not quite like
lambs...let’s frolic as best we can! “Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero”, ... enjoy today, it might be
cloudy tomorrow. Not quite the translation... but near enough.
Kincraig cliffs .... morning. |
08.00 Jings .... I’d better unearth the sun
cream! We have a ‘bright and sunny’,
with a brisk breeze from the Northwest this morning..... it is an ideal drying day. It’s also a grand morning for the beach....
so ... .... Hmmmmm .... I’ll go to the
beach. Actually I stripped my bed a
week ago; today I’ll get that bedding through the
machine, out on to the line, then, go to the beach. Low tide isn’t until 10.00.
23.00 Well .... the first day of Spring has been one bonnie Spring day, and hopefully the first of many. The weather forecasters suspect that it isn’t. According to their computer forecast, we might have another wintry spell, albeit short, to come round about Easter.
Anstruther .... afternoon. |

I’ve
had a really busy and agreeable day. As
‘planned’ I did the washing, before going to the beach. There are big changes down among the rocks; the first thing I noticed was that only the
top six inches of the Ferry March Stane
is visible above a bank of sand.
This is the first time I have ever seen it so deeply buried. Further out from the March Stane rocks
have been uncovered that I have never seen before. All this has been recorded; I photographed it ‘tae bits’.
The
eye test, this afternoon, only revealed that my eyesight hasn’t changed in the
past
year, so I don’t need new specs. However,
I did order a new pair of specs (cheap frames), for working on the computer. I had an hour to spare after leaving the opticians,
so I photographed my way along Shore Street, and, with it being such a warm
afternoon, I bought a tub of ice cream, sat
on one of the Folly seats, and ‘fell apart’, as if on holiday.
Elie ... late afternoon. |
Tomorrow
I’m going to Leven to take the car through the car wash, and do some shopping. I won’t bother with a cuppa in Sainsbury’s
Cafe .... I hope to be back in Elie in time to have ‘morning coffee’ in Harbour
House.
