June 2016 (Thursday)
.... 16.00 Hmmmmm ... we’ve had a
lovely day.... sunny and warm, though the wind did go round to the east in the
afternoon. ‘M’ and I went to Leven in
the morning; and noticed that Sooper
Buggy was making a

noise like two or three ‘Harley’s’ when we were leaving
Sainsbury’s. She’s booked into St
Monans to have the exhaust fixed on Monday.... until then she will be ‘moored
up’. That disnae look right. It looks like its ‘M’ having her exhaust
fixed, and being ‘moored up .... but it isn’t, it’s the car! We’d planned to go bowling, but ended up
flapping along to St Minnins to get the car booked in; and ended up dropping in to the ‘Drop in
Cafe’ on the way home. ‘M’ did a lot
of chatting to different folk at the ‘Cafe’ so the afternoon wasn’t wasted.
22.00 Wellll .... I can’t moan about the
weather; it has been a really bonnie
day... ‘sunny and warm’. ‘M’ didn’t
have ‘goose pimples’ today so it must have been warm, but she reckons we have a
different kind of ‘warm’ in Bonnie Scotland;
it’s probably more humid here, than in Otaki.
For
me it has been one of ‘those’ days .... first the car exhaust decibel level rockets,

then the rear wheel on the bike starts losing air faster than a balloon with a
hole in it. In point of fact the tube
is a balloon with a hole in it. I
decided to borrow Jimmy’s car to take ‘M’ home to St Minnins; the plan being to bike along to Jimmy’s to
get his car ... deliver ‘M’ to St Minnins ... then bike home again from Jimmy’s. However
it didn’t pan out that way: By the time I’d gone 400 metres the back wheel
was flat This meant wheeling the bike
to Jimmy’s, then wheeling it all the way
back to Ivy. Luckily it was a lovely
evening for a walk, and I got some bonnie picture of Elie harbour. ‘M’, bless her new cotton socks, is safely
ensconced in St Monans; and I’ll sort
the bike out tomorrow.
The
weather forecast is good for tomorrow; bright
and sunny with the threat of showers. ‘Threat
of showers’ = good chance of bonnie clouds.
Apart from sorting the bike properly I have no ‘plans’ for
tomorrow. Of course tomorrow we will
know if we are

‘staying in’, or ‘coming out’ of Europe: a big decision that the voters will have
made today! I did vote.
