After a bright, and breezy, start to the morning, the sky is beginning
to cloud over, and rain is forecast to arrive, sometime

in the afternoon; a re-run of yesterday’s weather. It feels cooler this morning... almost
autumnal, .... but a nice morning for a daunder . I’m going to pick up ‘M’ in a wee
while; that reminds me I meant to rattle
round with the Hoover etc. Och .... I’ll
forget about the ‘ooverin’ etc, and put the kettle ‘on’.
23.30 Oh
my word .... the ‘boy’ (that’s me) is going to be late in bed tonight..... this
has been a busy busy day. ‘M’ and I
went up to Kellie Castle garden in the morning; always a nice place for a quiet meander
round a beautiful ... and completely
different from Ivy .... garden. ‘M’
was absolutely starving by the time we’d finished the garden ‘thing’ so we had
lunch in the Cafe.... which included a piece of Millionaires shortbread. The “millionaires”
probably refers to the number of calories .... “Puku” likes calories! We came home via Elie so that I could pick

the ‘papers’ ... today is East Fife Mail ‘Day’ ... the highlight of the
week. This week’s ‘news was mostly about
the new Levenmouth Academy; which ‘opens for action’ after the summer
break. The school was built by a Dutch
firm BAM .... I wonder how tendering for construction work throughout Europe
will change after we leave the European Union?
In
the evening ‘M’ and I went out to post a letter, and were lucky enough to meet
Myra, who was out walking “SD”. Myra
invited us back to “No 3” for a cuppa;
which turned into a glass of wine.... and an invite to dinner next
Wednesday. Jim, who was busy ‘working’
on his butterfly photographs when he was
rudely interr ... oops, was glad to have visitors. Actually I think he was much in need of a glass
of wine. We spent a braw hour
chatting, .... about ‘this and that’;
including the political upheaval caused by last week’s referendum. I think most of us,

in Scotland, are still ‘in
shock’.
It
has been a nice, but ‘coolish’ day.... the trees will be changing colour if
this autumnal spell continues. Wait a
minute ... we’ve still to have our summer yet!
