morning; and there’s a cool easterly breeze off the
North Sea, but a nice morning. The sky
was bonnie at sun rise time, though the sun was behind low cloud/mist. ‘JB’ and I chose the right day to do the
front of Ivy; showers are forecast for
today.... and wind and intermittent rain for Friday and Saturday.
20.00 John and I went to St Andrews this
afternoon: being a major University
town I often wonder what some of the many students that I see bumbling around
the town, will go on to be in their ‘working’ life. People watching, in St Andrews is very
interesting; for instance there appears to be more Oriental
faces than there once was: probably
because the ‘East’ is no longer as secretive as it was. We ended up going out to the West Sands for
a walk on their beach. It is an
excellent sandy beach; that said, as
there are no rocks at all,

it is to me, slightly boring. It was quiet by West Sands standards
today; a few dog walkers, and joggers; and ‘JB and me. One collie dog was really enjoying itself; it was tearing along the beach, on the sand
and into the water, with total abandon... absolutely happy. It’s owners weren’t throwing a ball for it
or anything; this collie was chasing
dreams; and enjoying it. When we were on the West Sands the sun
broke through; only
the Easterly wind spoilt, what could have been, a warm afternoon.
On
the way home we went to Morrison’s to have a coffee break; of course we bought a few goodies. I’m on a diet; well will be after tomorrow!

for a couple of days. When
I was having coffee, John went for a long walk... and got back to Ivy just before
a spell of light rain came our way. The
weather has been ‘nae bad’ today: the
next two days are forecast to be... well... not very nice.
‘JB’
is travelling to London tomorrow.... onthe Aberdeen to London KingsX train... around about midday.
If the weather is not too bad I might go to Pettycur Harbour, but I
doubt if that is likely to happen. Not
if the weather forecast is accurate.
