Dull and damp ....
8th
October 2018 (Monday)
.... 08.00 It is a dull start to
Monday, with
light rain on a brisk, but not cold westerly breeze.... and I was
wrapped up like a polar bear. But hey ho .... even on a morning when sunrise
was hidden behind clouds, there is always brightness at the Centre of the
Universe; this morning’s ‘sunrise glow’
was Marcia out with the dogs. They fair
cheered me up.
Drab kind of morning. |
With
the sky being heavily overcast it looks like this might be the morning that ‘JB’
and I dismantle the bunk beds. We’ll
need a few, decision making, cuppas before we do anything; anything that might interfere with Wii golf.
John - at Elie Harbour.....watching ... |
We
were both tired after when we got back to Ivy, and ended up having ‘50’ before going
down to the harbour (in the car). As
ever, there was a gale of wind at the harbour, with a kite surfer making the
most of this wind. He was really
enjoying himself. It’s an ill wind
that doesn’t blow somebody some good.
We watched the kite surfer for a while, but it was really cold, in the
strong wind, so we ended up back in Ivy and having a cuppa.
Our
evening has been spent watching old videos, and playing golf on the Wii
machine. I bought batteries when I was
in the paper shop so both handsets are now operational.

The
weather has been mixed today, but the rain faded out after midday; in fact we had a couple of ‘short sunny
spells’. Tomorrow looks like being ‘windy
and wet’ first thing: good bunk
demolishing weather. Then again I’ve
said that before. No .... tomorrow we
have a ‘plan’ .... and it includes dismantling the bunks. Maybe.
I’m
feeling tired after all our traipsing about;
‘JB’ is playing tennis. I’ll
make a the bedtime cuppa; I need to be
well rested for the big push tomorrow!
