Cracking sunrise ....
7th
October 2018 (Sunday)
.... 09.30 I can tell you that it was
cauld on
the beach; actually it wasn’t
that cold when I first went down.... there was only a light breeze... but the
wind freshened and added wind chill!
But hey .... it was worth it: we
had a cracker of a sunrise! “Red sky
in the morning .... etc. is ominous, but at least it was dry, even if it was windy
and cold by the time I left the beach.
It’s not that bad looking out just now.... windy but not wet. Wind and rain is forecast for us later
today. Have a lovely day whatever you
do; or a peaceful night’s sleep if you’re
in the Southern hemisphere. I’m
needing food... orf to have breakfast.

The sky over Earlsferry 10 minutes before sunrise. |
12.00 We went up to Chapel Green around midday; it was cold with spits and spots o’ rain in the wind. I suppose it could be called ‘bracing’. I was ‘stood staunin’ in the lee of the Chapel when John came up from a potter around the rocks. It does not look, nor feel, like we are going to have a bonnie afternoon.
21.30 We’ve been lucky with the weather; we’ve had the wind that was forecast, but
only spells of light, but wind driven’ rain now and again. In fact the sun broke through for short
time in the early part of the afternoon.
‘JB’ and I were busy by this time:
the Wii machine had been fitted with new batteries and we were playing
golf. The Wii will be a good way for
me to exercise over the winter; it’s an
amazing piece of kit.... and I’d forgotten all about it.
Although
we have yet to strike a blow as far as work goes we have been making sure
that
we are well fuelled up. We’ve been
eating much energy giving food: for
instance, this evening we went to the ‘Anstruther Fish Bar and had ‘fish
suppers’ for ‘dinner’. If we ever get
round to doing some work we will have the oomph needed to get the job
done; maybe. Outside work is weather dependent, and the weather
for the next couple of days is not to promising. Windy, with
good chance of intermittent showers. We will break down the bunk beds.

I’m
tired tonight; it can’t be work. Playing games on the Wii must be more
tiring than I thought.
