..... 09.00 Mmmmm .... the sky is heavily overcast, the
wind is direct from the East, and, though not cold it isn’t “iggzactly”

warm. The sun should break through, and, away
from the East coast, it could be hot by afternoon. Our pollution level is at Medium. It’s raining in ‘Sunny Sussex’ so their pollution
level is ‘Low’.
The
villages are beginning to fill up for the Bank Holiday weekend; I suppose this is the beginning of the summer
holiday season .... when ‘locals’ can feel overwhelmed. I just bumble about on the bike; and fall in love with the girl visitors. Hey .... I need food. Jim
has been seen bumbling down Ferry Road in the buggy, .... and I haven’t had
breakfast yet.
21.00 There was only Geoff and I for coffee in
Harbour House this morning; Jim and Myra had other appointments. Having said that, Harbour House was busy; and will be over the holiday weekend. I
biked along in spite of the wind being Easterly; but I was well wrapped up. “Ne’er

saying, first recorded in
1732, is apt this year. Whether it
refers to the month of May or the May flower (Hawthorn or Blackthorn) is
debatable... though it was most probably the 'flowers'.
I
spent some of the afternoon trying to tweak the gears on Maggie’s bike; they are nearly working perfectly, but nearly
isn’t good enough. I’ll have to go onto
YouTube and find a video that shows me the ‘H’ and ‘L’ screws. I can
see the screws but they haven’t got any marks to indicate which is which....
and they are for the final adjustment. This frustrated boy was able to take ‘time out’
at the ‘Drop in Cafe’. If decibels be
a sign of happiness, then the Drop in
Cafe was extraordinarily happy this afternoon.
It was brilliant. The general

Colinsburgh and the hinterland,...
is that there’s ‘nothing happening’.
By
all accounts the holiday weekend is going to be warm, but cooler along the East
coast, because of the low cloud/haar and the onshore wind. There’s the Christian Aid Coffee Morning, in
the Kirk Hall, on Saturday; this is a busy
‘CM’ with home baking etc. I Must remember
to be along there before all the goodies are sold.
