May 2018 (Sunday)
.... 09.00 It’s a lovely morning. Yes it is raining, and has been for most of
the night by the look of it, but it isn’t heavy, the air is

pollution free, and
I’m feeling good: yesterday I felt dopey
all day. Today I feel like doing
things. The rain is forecast to leave us by
midday(ish), and, we should have sunny spells in the afternoon. I’ve
been up for the paper, and had a run
down to the harbour; now it’s time for
breakfast.
21.30 We
did end up with a bonnie afternoon;
sunny and warm. Instead of making
scones in the morning I did some ‘ousework:
can’t eat ‘ousework, so the diet is safe. George dropped in after lunch so we had a
cuppa, and a chat, in the Hutte. I
noticed that Blob is feeding Blobbette again.
They were taking food to the nest a couple of days ago; the fact that

he is feeding Blobbette again
suggests that the nest has been predated.
It’s either that, or the scallywag has found another ‘wife’!
Earlsferry
Thistle was playing the “John Peters Trophy” this afternoon.... Janet (John’s
wife, and my sister), accompanied by Clare and Chris, were coming along to
present the trophy. I join them for
the blethering bit.... and take a couple of pictures. There’s always plenty sandwiches etc, so we
ate and chatted while the scores were being sorted. After
the presentation, Janet, Clare and Chris set off to walk along the beach to
catch the bus home.
After
a cuppa, with it being such a lovely evening I took the car up to Kinneuchar
Station to get some ‘fresh green’ Spring photographs; the country side is looking it’s

best just
now, .... but it doesn’t take long for the ‘fresh green’ look to wear off. I had a bumble along the old railway, took some
photos of the kirk, and ‘fell apart’.
Tomorrow’s
weather is forecast to be ‘perfect’ .... sunny and warm all day. That said, pollution levels are ‘M’ (medium),
so could cause problems for those with respiratory problems. The ‘plan’ is to get up and out on the bike
(Maggie’s) early to see if I need to reset the gears: the gears seem alright, but the real test is
in going out on the bike.
