dry up till now;   but ... it looks like we could have showers in the afternoon.   I went to Leven this morning, to get some necessities... ‘Blob’ fodder.    I also went to Sainsbury’s to do some ‘shopping’ .... and have a cuppa;   this explains why the Hutte is only being updated now.     The ‘plan’ is to go for a walk in the afternoon.
22.00    Oh dear .... I fell asleep after lunch and that was the end of the afternoon walk;   I think it must have been the ‘flu jab, because I usually only catnap for 10 – 15

minutes:  today I fell sound asleep, in the Hutte, for three quarters of an hour.   It could have been longer but a gust of wind rattled the door and woke me up.    Feeling much refreshed I may add.     Jimmy appeared just as the kettle boiled, so we had a cuppa. 
The remainder of the afternoon I spent tidying up the kitchen... and sorting out the shopping I bought this morning.    During the afternoon the sky clouded over, and it looked like we could get some rain.... but it has remained dry, but rather dour looking.    Rain isn’t in the forecast... overcast is.

Jim and Jimmy are coming down for our weekly, Tuesday evening chat, over a cuppa.    Las Vegas will be a topic I’m sure, as will Gun Laws (or lack of) in the

USA.    Without doubt the USA has to have a serious discussion, about gun ownership. 
  
With me only being ‘out and about’ at sunrise I have gone down memory lane  for two of today’s photos .... back to when Maggie and I were busy with the crafts.   I think I may have done this before ..... however this is one of my favourite ‘memory lane’ trips.
The weather forecast for tomorrow, is not really exciting.... overcast with a few sunny spells.... but mostly dry;   though there is the chance of rain later in the evening.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... All the Fife Weather cams are showing overcast skies.   The Anstruther cam looks the bleakest!..... the Lochgelly the least bleak.  The Easterly breeze has brought the weather in from the North Sea.... and  'sunny spells' are not mentioned in the weather forecast, but ... sometimes the sky looks promising!   It's a good day to be inside.  Luckily I, (and all the other guests), are celebrating Brian and Moira's Golden Wedding Anniversary in the Lindsay Room at Kinneuchar Castle. 10.30     It's still raining, but the sky looks promising now and again;  the sun might break though in the afternoon.  I had a walk round the patio in the light rain; very refreshing.    I'm having morrrrrrrrrrrning coffee before I start to get organised for Kinneuchar Castle. 20.30    We had a really pleasant family and friends gathering to celebrate Brian and Moira's Gol

Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good lunch!   And it was a really good lun

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
