Bring back the lovely cool days ....
25th
May 2017 (Drop
in Cafe) .... 10.00 Oh dear .... bring
back the lovely cool days; it was 20c
in Ivy garden at 09.00.... and I’ve had to “cast a cloot before
May is oot”, it’s
that warm.

So
far today I have been along to Elie on the bike, photographed the villages ‘tae bits’ from the harbour, got wakened up,
by ‘Jock’, when I was crossing the High Street, bought the papers, then back to
Ivy for breakfast, before going along to Sainsbury’s; I like to get some food stocks in, and the
car ‘moored up’ before the weekend.... and this is a holiday weekend so the
villages will be busy; especially if
the weather is good. The messages are ‘away’
and I am now ready for a cuppa.
21.00 It has been ‘bright, sunny and warm’ all
day .... at one point it was 23c in Ivy garden; this is verging on ‘the mauchless’
temperatures. I have been doing ladder
work again, and I am, yet again, surprised at how my hip and knee muscles have
coped. That said I only do ‘ladder work’
once every 4 years, so they are bound to be ‘enjoying’ the exercise.... I
think!
Lifeguard hut now on site or the summer season. |
The
‘Drop in Cafe’ was quiet at first, this was understandable considering the ‘bright
and sunny’ weather we had outside;
however a steady stream of visitors over the afternoon. We have another five ‘Drop in Cafe days’
before the
summer break.

Summer
is definitely going to happen this year:
the Lifeguard’s Hut has been put on site. I must admit to enjoying this spell of
weather, and would be happy for it to continue for a few weeks. That said the garden could be doing with
some water; ‘water’ will happen later
on Saturday afternoon/evening.
‘The second day of summer’ is forecast to
happen tomorrow .... that will be summer over;
it’s forecast to rain later on Saturday. Actually when you think about it .... there
are only 27 days until the Summer Solstice;
then it’s all downhill to winter .... (and 213 days until Christmas). Jings this has been a quick year!
