Overcast ....

6th November 2026 (Friday)     09.45 .... The cloud is thicker this morning than it was at this
time yesterday;  but we had a couple of blue pat
ches earlier, so it might brighten up to give us a few sunny spells later.   At the moment it looks like drizzle isn't far away!    It's not cold because there is hardly any breeze, so no wind chill;   I might go for a short walk after morning coffee!

20.30    The weather has been disappointing today;  the sun never really broke through so it has been 'gloomy' most of the time, but it has been dry.
I eventually went for a walk up to the seat at the 17th green, in the middle of the afternoon.   The Easterly breeze had moderated by then, so it wasn't cold.   That said I was well wrapped up.

I didn't expect to see many golfers out;  but  there was a few groups coming in:  so I watched a couple of foursomes playing the 17th and 18th.    It was enjoyable watching the golf, but the grey sky didn't do much for the photographs.   Never mind;  in another 6 weeks or so it will be the shortest day, and we'll be looking forward to Spring.

Today has been a 'rest day'    The only 'work' stuff I've done was sorting out the photographs I got yesterday;  and the one I got today.

The East wind is always a disagreeable one, so I don;t often go 'out and about' when the winds from the East:  especially at this time of year.   To make matters even more uncomfortable I had a migraine not long after I came in from the walk.    Oh, I met Colin (Birrel) when I was out, and Elaine (Ross);  they brightened up a dull afternoon. .... my whole day in fact!

22.30    I think I'll have thrown off the Winter booster side effects by tomorrow, and be able to do some
proper ''work';  such as housework.    The weather is to be brighter, but mixed;  with 'sunny spells and light rain showers'.
