Damp ....
7th March 2021 (Sunday) .... 07.30 we’ve had a shower of light rain and it
looks like we could have a few more showers to come; the sky is overcast but there are small blue holes in the greyness, here are there, so it could brighten up in the afternoon.
I
have the urge to go for a small adventure today but somehow I think the weather
is not going to co-operate. Right now I’m
having a cappuccino (the new Kenco – and
it is good) before loupin’ intae the car to go for the paper.
14.00 I did the paper run and the harbour, which is empty again, the two creel boats having been craned out and
taken to Anstruther. On the way home I
stopped at The Ship Inn beer garden; I
am going to miss not being able to wander around the beer garden once The Ship
Inn re-opens.
Back
at Ivy I remembered that this is Sunday and ‘went tae the kirk’ at 10.30. I have finally got the hang of ‘Zoom’: I found the ‘Leave Meeting’ button and can
come out after the service.... and before the ‘Rooms’. I am no good in a ‘Room’.
It has turned out to be a bonnie day here.... mostly sunny spells, but it’s cool when the sun does go behind a cloud. I may go out on the bike later; right now I need to have ‘50’.
20.00 I went for a walk later in the afternoon, up to the Pony Field and home by way of the golf course. It has been a bonnie day; but the sky was clouding over by the time I went out; I think that spells of light rain are forecast overnight. Light rain showers and a gentle breeze, is out forecast for tomorrow; hopefully the showers (if any) will be few and far between.
I’ve
had a quiet day.... almost like Sunday’s used to be before commercialism; when
Sunday was a ‘rest day’. Tomorrow
?..... I might make tomorrow a ‘work day;
in the garden if it’s not raining and on the computer if it is raining.
It’s time to browse the TV and see if there’s anything I fancy watching; if there isn’t I’ll
find something to do on the computer.
