showers being thundery in the afternoon” is the weather forecast for our area today. So far (since 05.30) we’ve had a shower (it’s
raining) but no sunny spell; and the sky
does not look pretty. I have no doubt
it will improve once the sun gets to work.
Our mission is to get take the van to St Andrews first thing, .... the
weather will dictate the next move. The
Lochgelly weather-cam shows the sky beginning to break up so things should begin to look
brighter soon.
20.00 We’ve had an active day, taking the van to
St Andrews in the morning (as planned); followed by a walk (slow) along South
Street and back to the car via Market Street.... with a coffee break on the
way.... on what had become a bonnie, ‘sunny spells’, morning.

Janice - in St Andrews. |
I
was sound asleep in the Hutte when Iain and Catriona arrived just after lunch time
(they’d stopped somewhere on the way down for their lunch).... so, after a
rumble of thunder woke me up we had a cuppa, before the ‘Troops’ went to
Pittenweem to have a browse round the Art Festival. (I didn’t go as my knee felt like it had done
enough ‘walking’ for the day). They got
caught in, (and soaked by), a thunder plout and had to dry out when they got
back to Ivy. I’d gone down to the
beach but the shower the ‘Troops’ got
caught out in, missed us.... though
there was a few heavy drops of rain falling as I walked up from the beach.
Catriona
and Iain set off about half an hour ago, with Catriona driving: Catriona

passed her driving test a few
weeks ago.... so ‘Dad’ is now redundant as far a driving goes. The sky is still full of heavy clouds but it
looks like they will be driving out of the thundery weather into clearer weather
up at Auchnagatt.
I
feel tired now, after what has been a fairly active day. Tomorrow’s weather is forecast to be slightly
brighter, with more sunny spells.... with thundery showers building up in the afternoon; much the same as today. I don’t know what the ‘plan’ is for
tomorrow... Janice and Michael might go to the big shopping place near Livingston. I might go out on the bike.
