Murky morning ....


6th  February 2019 (Wednesday) .... 09.00    We have another murky morning .... and, although not actually raining, it looks like it could rain at any time;   a good morning for staying ‘in’ and honing my coughing technique.    Yes, I have ‘ the cough’ that half the residents of Uckfield have.... maybe even half of Sussex.    When ‘downtown’ , (not that I’m going ‘downtown’ today), it’s like being in a flock of coughing sheep.   But, hey ho, it means that my cold is on the move.    I think.
Everyone is out working just now so I’m i/c;  actually I’m also working;  I’m waiting for a delivery van!    It’s stressful ‘work’ so I’d better make myself a cuppa.


12.00     The sky has brightened up and we nearly had a sunny spell;   and ... it is 12c so pleasantly warm.     Janice and I plan to go shopping once the delivery van has been;  unless it doesn’t arrive until late in the afternoon, which would be too late for the shopping.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

4th April 2026 (Saturday)     09.40 .... We have a bright and breezy' morning;  a good morning for the joggers (been there done that.... and i wish I could do it now) that were out early.    I shall have morning coffee in 'The Hutte, because although the sky is cloudier now that it was earlier, we still have sunny spells, but light rain showers are mentioned in the weather forecast for KY9:  with gales overnight into Saturday morning. 14.45    I've been doing some research;  and playing with the pictures I got, off the Photo Frame, last night.    The weather has deteriorated ans we not have an overcast sky, with occasional spells of light rain;  and the wind has freshened a bit.    I'm going to make a fresh cuppa, then settle down to watch the News.     And have my afternoon catnap!   I blame the cat that meandered in yesterday;  it reminded me that I enjoy a catnap! 19.30  ...
