Bonnie sunrise sky ....

1st December 2020 (Tuesday)      10.30 .... I’ve been playing with the photos


I took at the harbour at sunrise time;  it was fantastic;  with a nice mix of colours in the sky.    I’m a happy boy.    It’s still a nice morning but the sky has clouded over and it feels colder now than it was at sunrise.    I might go out on the bike in the afternoon.    Orf to have a cuppa.  

14.30    I had a highly successful mission to the ‘Cheap Shop’ (Bargain Store) in Leven .... but my word the shop was busy;  so busy that I decided that it would be the only shop I would go to in Leven today.   Everybody was wearing masks and keeping their distance;  but it was too busy for me, with fo9lkd doin’ Christmas shopping.    I got all the stuff I went for.... plus a few extras.  

I couldn’t get a trolley on the way in but found a basket with a long handle so I washed the handle and poodled my way into the shop.    It was on the way out that I met a lassie looking for the ‘basket trolley’ .... which (as I was about to find out) was the one that I


had.   She was nice enough about it, and I told her I’d washed the handle etc. so we were both happy.   It’s a ‘funny’ basket because it brakes (or at least the wheels stop goin’ roond) when you push it.   Anyway apart from that I had an uneventful trip to Leven..... but I won’t bother going to any of the ‘big’ shops in Leven until after I get the vaccine;  and certainly won’t take that ‘basket’ when I do.    It has been all ‘go’ on the Planet Alberto today.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... All the Fife Weather cams are showing overcast skies.   The Anstruther cam looks the bleakest!..... the Lochgelly the least bleak.  The Easterly breeze has brought the weather in from the North Sea.... and  'sunny spells' are not mentioned in the weather forecast, but ... sometimes the sky looks promising!   It's a good day to be inside.  Luckily I, (and all the other guests), are celebrating Brian and Moira's Golden Wedding Anniversary in the Lindsay Room at Kinneuchar Castle. 10.30     It's still raining, but the sky looks promising now and again;  the sun might break though in the afternoon.  I had a walk round the patio in the light rain; very refreshing.    I'm having morrrrrrrrrrrning coffee before I start to get organised for Kinneuchar Castle. 20.30    We had a really pleasant family and friends gathering to celebrate Brian and Moira's Gol

Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good lunch!   And it was a really good lun

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
