Christmas Day ....
25th
December 2017 (Monday
.... Christmas Day)
Wishing
everyone a very “Merry Christmas” ;
may you be surrounded by love,
and peace, this Christmas morning...... remember,
the spirit of Christmas doesn’t have to be seasonal... it is, like love,
forever.

It’s
overcast but dry in Sussex. Here, at “No
1”, the turkey is in the oven, and the
smell of Christmas is in the air; ‘Puku’
is excited. I may go for a daunder ‘roond
the block’ in a wee while; actually, there
is a lack of outside activity just now, with only a solitary dog walker going
down the street a few minutes ago.
There will be much excitement inside the houses, especially the houses
with children in them, I have no doubt.
20.30 Welll.... this has been a really enjoyable
Christmas, for all of us here at “No 1”.
Janice and Michael did a mountain of work in the kitchen, the result of
which was an absolutely scrumptious Christmas Dinner. I couldn’t quite
finish what was on the
plate... welll, I could have but I am a slow eater, which would have held up the
proceedings.....and there was ‘Banoffee Pudding’ on the menu!

Darcie
and Sullivan (grandchildren) began the first‘present opening’ session. They were soon followed by the adults, and
in ‘nae time’ the floor was being covered with wrapping paper, to the sound of much
ooh-ing and ahh- ing.
‘JB’,
arrived home from work just after we’d finished our starters, meaning that we
had a full compliment for the mains and pudding. The meal was followed by ‘JB’ opening
presents, and handing round presents from Emily and John, and from ‘JB’
himself; so we had another ‘present
opening’ session, during which I became the proud owner of a fez! It’s a braw ‘hat’,
and actually very comfortable
to wear. Photos will be taken.

Darcie is four tomorrow, and we are all
daundering round to Leeann and Martyn’s for her party in the morning. I won’t need to eat food for a week!
Tomorrow
is forecast to be windy in the Southeast, after overnight rain.... and it is to
turn colder. There could be snow
showers just north of London.
‘Puku’
(bless his non- wrinkly-ness) is well contented tonight; in fact I’d say that he was a too contented! Never mind it will soon be Springtime
when we will be able to go out on the bike again!
