Very autumnal feel to the air .....

October 2016 (Saturday)
...09.00 We have ‘wall to wall’
sunshine this morning, but it was cold down on the beach at sunrise... at that
time it felt very autumnal in the light North Westerly breeze; but it was beautiful.

There
was a lot going ‘on’ down there this morning;
for a start three Herons, who had been dotted along the rocks, suddenly
found themselves too close together .... that was soon sorted out with a few
‘threats’ by the one at the top of the pecking order. Along at the Breakwater a group of canoeists
arrived, and were soon paddling their way across the bay; with there being hardly any wind the sea is
flat calm, and perfect for pottering about on. Yes it’s a lovely morning for being ‘out’
and enjoying the beauty that is all around us, in our especial corner of Mother
Earth.

21.30 This has been a beautiful, early autumn
day, .... perfect for enjoying doing
stuff outside; having said that I’m
feeling ... sort of lethargic, today.
However that hasn’t stopped me:
I biked up to the Coffee morning at Kinneuchar kirk.... via Elie
estate. The loch was like a mirror, ...
with Kilconquhar Church, and the village reflected in it, it was a haven of
peace. I wasn’t the first at the
boathouse, because there footprints in the wet grass... it was a bonnie place
to be. I hope, whoever it was, got photographs!
The
Coffee Morning was a real friendly and happy, ‘get thegither’.... a Coffee
Morning is judged by the noise level of the folks chattering. Using that method I’d say that this “CM” was an outstanding
success! I did intend going back
through the Estate on the
way home, but a breeze had risen by then and the
mirror look, of the loch, had passed.

Jimmy
appeared late in the afternoon; Jimmy
and Donald been along visiting Chris in the afternoon. I didn’t hear Jimmy ringing the doorbell so
he went up to the Hutte and fed “Blob”, then rang the doorbell again on the
out.... this time I did hear it. We had
a cuppa in the Hutte.
This
has been a beautiful autumnal day, and tomorrow is forecast to be the same...
after a colder night; I’ll be well wrapped up tomorrow morning at sunrise
time (07.18)! I’m wondering if the
Aurora Borealis will be visible tonight ... if the sky is clear, and it, the ‘Aurora’,
is
active.
Elie Bay at sunset time |
I’ve
had an enjoyable day, in spite of feeling lethargic... although that ‘feeling’
has left me, now that it’s getting near bedtime.
