Cracker o' a mornin' ....
1st September 2022 (Thursday) 07.30 .....Welcome to cracker o’ a
September mornin’.... ‘bright, sunny and warm with only a light breeze; a lovely morning for going out. There’s a washing in the machine and I’m on my second cuppa before getting the bike out and having a birl up to Chapel Green.
09.30 I had a turn out to the 11th tee for a
change o’ scene; no ...I should say...”
for a change of viewpoint of a favourite scene” ....Kincraig Cliffs! It was magical.... calm, peaceful; and a million miles away from the havoc going
on in today’s world. Love it.
21.30 We, Myra, Kirsty, Geoff and I, enjoyed lunch
at ‘The Smoke Shed’ (East Pier) in St Monans.... excellent food and
company. I’m allergic to shellfish so chose
cod and chips (no starter), with pavlova for dessert.... big helpings of
both....and very tasty. The restaurant
was busier than I expected, but it was a bonnie day and a lot of folk were
wandering around St Monans.... and the East pier was handy for a hungry walker.
Barbara on Ferry Road.
This
has been a bad ‘breathing’ day. I think
it was just the still hot air, but whatever was, it didn’t agree with my tubes. It became easier in the evening with the cooler
air, but I didn’t o out on the bike again as I’d planned.
Being
at St Monans reminded me that I haven’t been round the harbour for a few
weeks.... I’ll have to do something about that in the next week or two; on a good breathing day.
The
bedding is ready to go back on the bed so that will be my mission tomorrow
morning. Apart from my asthma I have had
an enjoyable day.... and have even managed to do some ‘work’... albeit slowly. The bike out to the 11th tee was really
enjoyable.... depending how I am in the morning I might do that tomorrow
morning: the forecast isSt Monans.
good... pretty
much the same as today in fact. The air
is fresher at that time of morning.... and my breathing is good; in fact I’m playful early in the morning.
