Misty morning ....
10th September 2021 (Friday) 09.30 .... It’s a misty, quiet and peaceful morrrrrning; the birds are quiet, and content to just sit around atop rocks: glowering at me mostly. I’ve been for the paper and done the ‘tour of the villages, chatted to lots of folk: Dave, Elizabeth, Graham, and Alan (‘arbour ‘ouse Alan). Alan told me that Brenda is still as vivacious, and colourful as ever; and, that he couldn’t hang around chatting to me, as he had to get home to make Brenda’s breakfast. Alan spoils that girl.
23.00 ‘JB’ and I have had a very enjoyable day .... and a busy. After breakfast we went to Sainsbury’s in Leven, then straight to Ardross from Leven. At Ardross we spoke to the Kirk Team that were in the ‘Field of Hope’ Gazebo, where we decided to visit the ‘Field of Hope’ tomorrow .... because today.... we were on a ‘shopping mission’. We bought some really tasty looking ready meals.... and a few other vital ‘emergency rations’. By the time we’d done all that we were well ready for lunch; and settle down to watch the Tour of Britain in between pottering about doing some light ‘work’.
Because it was a gorgeous, sunny and warm afternoon with hardly a breath of wind, we decided to go down to the harbour; we would have reflections. And reflections we got; it was stunning.... especially as there was so much going on. We had boats leaving the harbour, others coming in and board walker all over the bay; we even had a lassie water .... not water skiing, but a similar skill on a board. It was all happening at Elie harbour this afternoon. There was all this action. a lovely ‘light’ and some bonnie clouds up towards Cupar; it was magical and I got a few photographs: 261 to be exact. I ‘dumped’ a few but have well over 200 remaining. They’ll be braw for a rainy day .... in November.
In
the evening we sorted through some of my postcards; that’s really a winter job but we fancied quiet
evening while watching/listening to a concert from the Albert Hall.
Sunny intervals; with a moderate breeze, and the chance of precipitation, is our weather
forecast for tomorrow. We are going to the ‘Field of Hope’ in the afternoon; ‘JB’ needs to have a quick trip to Leven, while I have the boiler cupboard to finish off. We also have to bring out the bikes to make one of them serviceable for ‘JB’. It looks like being another ‘busy’ day.
