Lovely morrrrrrrrning .....
1st February 2021 (Monday) 11.00 .... Oh dear; it looks like there won’t be
much work done around Ivy Cottage today..... there are lots of lovely clouds around!
I’ve
been for a walk along to the Breakwater and have sorted out some photographs
that I took; now I shall have ‘morning
coffee’ before deciding what to do next.
Someone
should really do some ‘oovering; because ‘someone’, who must have been on the
beach, has brought sand in on ‘his’ shoes.
Orf to make the coffee.
14.30 I can’t complain about the weather: With the ‘lovely clouds’ having been replaced, by a layer of sleet depositing cloud, the ‘ousework has been done. It’s an ill wind that doesn’t blow some good somewhere. I have also had time to have lunch... and help Sherlock Holmes; now I think I’ll have another cuppa and then do some ‘computer stuff’. The sky looks like this spell of wetness is here for a wee while; we actually had wet snow at one point. Wet snow here, will have been dry snow up on Balcarres Estate.
21.00 I needed to buy a new pair of ‘wellies’ .... and couldn’t think where I could buy them locally at first; then I remembered Myra telling me that Neil (Appleton’s) has set up an ‘online’ shop. I browsed the ‘new site; and found ‘wellies’.... which Neil delivered this afternoon. I won’t have cold feet when walking on the wet sand now: ‘Thank You Neil’.... I am one happy and satisfied customer. Having looked at the weather forecast I think I have bought the wellies just in time: there’s a spell of inclement weather coming our way! Rain and sleet for us.... falling as snow on the higher ground.
As you will have see I did do a wee bit of ‘computer stuff’ this afternoon.... bought the wellies. I also did some typing and ‘played’ with some of the photographs I’ve been taking during the latest ‘lockdown’. I also found (and watched) a ‘Midsomer Murders’
episode that I had never seen before.... and I didn’t fall asleep and miss the end of it.
I
suppose the weather will dictate what we all do tomorrow; I hope to get out for a walk, first thing in
the morning. If it’s wet it will be a
run up to Elie in the car for the paper .... followed by a quick trip to the
harbour.
