Warm and sunny ....
30th
May 2020
(Saturday) 06.30 .... it’s a nice morning but there is a
breeze
from the northeast so no mirror like water this morning. Although it is warm already it isn’t going to be as hot as yesterday but, with the UV levels being ‘high’,
it is a sun cream day.
Social distancing marked out - a sign of the times. |
08.00 There’s a nice cool air today....definitely
a morning for me pottering around the garden.
I’ve been for the paper and had a short run down towards the harbour but
that was all; I might go out later
depending on how busy the roads are.
Things are ‘almost back to normal’ with the beach being busy yesterday,
and will be again today with the forecast being ‘good’: the roads are definitely busier. Now that I have milk I can have breakfast.
Mixed up clouds this morning. |
16.30 With a Force 4-5 wind coming off the East
it has been much colder than yesterday;
but it has been warm in the garden sheltered from the aforementioned wind.
I have enjoyed doing a wee bit of work
including washing the bathroom, kitchen and lobby floors.... pulling the odd
weed, and hanging out a washing; and
dreaming in The Hutte. I might get the
bike out and take a turn round ‘The Ferry’ later but only if the wind moderates
a bit.
Going
by the number of vehicles going up and down Ferry Road the village(s) must be
busy; there does seem to be more folk
walking about. It’s now, when lockdown is being eased that we
‘older’ folks will have to be very careful re the two metre ‘rool’ and washing
our hands after being out..... especially if people use the Dominic Cummings
Interpretation of the ‘Rools’... and come from further afield.
it’s cold so the bike is in The Hutte for the
night.... and I am in Ivy. The haar is mostly up towards Kinneuchar and Colinsburgh. I’ve had a
satisfying day I feel that I got the mix of work and play just about right.... and it hasn't been too hot.
20.00 The wind has moderated slightly but there’s
haar blowing in from the sea and
South Street - Elie. |
Geoff
and I are going to Myra’s for ‘morning coffee’ tomorrow; sitting outside and keeping to the two metre
rule. It will be good to take part in a
‘troop chat’; its a long time since we
had one of those. Haar is
an afternoon/ evening thing so it should be fine at 10.30.
