March 2016 (Tuesday)
.... 09.00 Joyful ‘us’ .... we have
a stunning morning here at the ‘Centre of the Universe’ .... bright, sunny and warm,
with only a smirr of a Northwest breeze, it’s definitely a morning for doing
things. My ‘things to do’ have been
set in stone this morning.... I visited The Boss’s Seat when out

on my walk,
and got my instructions: I have to get
the computer desks cleared so that Ras
... er ‘Uncle Iain’ can get the new computer set up at the weekend.... I
suspect that ‘Granny and Emily’ have been in ‘contact’! Actually I’m in a mood to get that done
this morning.... I have been out or my morning walk, and I’ll take time out to
circumnavigate the villages on the bike in the afternoon. Emily and John are going to Edinburgh (I
think) so I’ll get the shredder set up, in the Hutte, and have a morning
sorting out some paper rubbish. I have
to get Ivy looking ‘neat and tidy’ for My “M-inent M”, who arrives in Bonnie
Scotland on the 9th June. Och ... I’ve
got loads o’ time .... 6,134,400 seconds;
literally ‘millions o’ time’!

When
I was pottering my way along the beach, twelve, what I think were Whooper Swans
flew over “The Royal Burgh”, presumably on their way back to Iceland... a magnificent, and thought provoking,
sight. I can imagine them tonight,
sitting on some cold Icelandic pond saying “aye (my Whooper’s come wi’ a Scottish lilt) the auld “Royal Burgh” was
lookin’ bonnie this morning.... we should have stopped there for a week or so!”
23.00 Well this has been another bonnie, and,
for me productive day: I shredded loads
o’ paper, read a fair number of magazines,
... the bank statements that the bank ‘never sent me’, turned up... I’d
say that this has been a good day re sorting out paper stuff. The black bucket is fu’. Now that I’m in this ‘frame o’ mind’ I may be brave enough to shred some o’
Maggie’s business stuff .... it should be ‘out of date’ now.
Shower clouds over Earlsferry |
I
didn’t go out on the bike, but I did go down to the beach again in the late
afternoon ... the there were some glorious clouds around. When I was doing all this the ‘Troops’ were
at Falkland Palace, not Edinburgh, as I previously stated. In
the evening Emily and John went along to Anstruther for ‘fish suppers’ ....
which went down well with “Puku”...literally! We ended the day with a quiet drink in the
19th Hole.
