Drum Castle ....
Drum Castle. |
isn’t mentioned in the forecast us so it should be dry all day.... with the chance of sunny spells later. There’s a light Easterly breeze... and it’s cold
The
‘plan ,is to set off for Drum Castle about 09.30; I see that the tearoom is ‘open’ so we could have some food
after doing the castle tour.
19.00 Our tour round Drum Castle was
fascinating; and again the Guide was exceptionally knowledgeable,
informative and friendly. This was his very first ‘out on his own’ tour
but, having done the research, he knew
his s stuff and answered any question we
put to him: very impressive.
We
bought a cuppa etc from the snack bar....
and a couple of ‘goodies’ to have in the car.
There was outside seating but it was too cold to sit out. Most of the NTS sites in Scotland will be ‘Open’
over Easter, so there’s plenty to do and see.
Tomorrow is going to be ‘iffy’ ,as far as the weather goes, at Auchnagatt; we could have a reasonable morning, but spells of rain are forecast for the afternoon. We will see how the weather is before deciding what to do. It could be a ‘stamp’ day for Iain and Jackie and a research day for me. Being a ‘stamp’ day reminds me that I have postcards needing to go into albums; I might start doing that... if we get any ‘bad weather days’.
