October 2015 (Sunday)
.... 10.00 Oh my word .... I slept
‘in’ and then some. “Wallace and
Gromit” fired off at 06.00, (now that the clocks have changed), so I turned
over and promptly went back to sleep.
When I woke up, and looked at the time on the i-phone it read
09.16. “I thought they’d have changed
that automatically” was my first thought:
only to find, when I got through to the kitchen, that ‘they’ had ....
and it WAS 09.16. I knew I was tired
last night.... but I didn’t
think I was ‘that tired’. Oh well it’s a grey day anyway so I haven’t
missed much .... though there will be
folks all over ‘my gallery’ at the kirk! I’m showered and dressed .... now I need
to feed “Puku”, ..... who regards ‘sleeping in’ as a waste of good eating
time! I’m feeling friskier this
morning .... having felt ‘one degree under’ yesterday.... which is maybe why I
slept so long.
Today
is Jimmy’s Birthday; so “Happy Birthday
Jems”; being as this is the Hutte we
don’t divulge Top Secret info such as which birthday it is ... but is somewhere
between 88 and 90!
22.30 The reason for my sleeping ‘in’ this
morning? I took a couple of
Paracetemol at 04.45 because my muscles were sore ..... my puny muscles
can only cope with a small amount ‘work’ stuff now.
I
phoned Jimmy about 10.00 this morning but he was ‘out’; the intention was to take
his car down to
the sailing Club, then for me to wander up to his house then ‘escort’ him down
to the sailing Club by way of walking.... then we’d drive home in his car. That way it would only be a one way
walk. We are in fact going to do that
tomorrow morning, because he’s had visitors ‘in and out’ all day today.

Although
I have been feeling friskier today; the
weather hasn’t been of the kind that encourages ‘frisky’ activities. However, when set out to ‘walk’ Jimmy down
to the Sailing Club and discovered he had visitors, I passed on that, and went
up to Kilconquhar Station for a wander round the edge of “Alberto’s Wood”, and
that area. The countryside is looking
bonnie now, but it needed the sunshine to bring out the autumn colours in all
their glory. It’s marvellous how the
trees surround us with vibrant, exciting colours, at what is a ‘dull’ time of
year.
I’m
having an early night in bed tonight and hope to be back to “Owlbert normal”
tomorrow.... and I’m not taking Paracetemol in the middle of the night
again; “Puku” does not like being late
for mealtimes!
